Jomokie joined Daniel Brantley as an Associate in May 2014 and is primarily involved in general litigation, insurance, commercial, corporate and taxation matters. He has acted as lead advocate at the High Court level on behalf of a major supplier of fuel in the Federation in a dispute involving conversion and passing off. He has also assisted with conducting the assessment of damages for a major Resort on behalf of its insurers at the High Court level likewise rendering general advice on the reinsurance laws and regulations of the Federation.

Previously, Jomokie served for eight months as the temporary Legal Officer of the Inland Revenue Department in St Vincent where he was responsible for providing general legal advice as well as being charged with interpretation of the Income Tax Act and other tax legislation in addition to the interpretation of the CARICOM Double Taxation Agreement. He has also instructed external Queen’s Counsel in matters before the Tax Appeal Commissioners.

Jomokie received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2011. He attended the Hugh Wooding Law School where he received his Legal Education Certificate in 2013.

Jomokie is an avid reader of Caribbean literatures in English as well as Francophone literatures in English. He also maintains a keen interest in the calypso art form and Caribbean theatre and film.

The Firm offers full legal services on the application of the various labour laws in the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis including facilitating the drafting of employment contracts, resolution of disputes and restructuring. We are known for our ability to resolve major disputes which includes disputes between institutions and governmental entities as it relates to labour rights likewise, contentious employment matters for corporations.

We advise on all aspects of Personal Estate matters inclusive of wealth management. We guide clients in drafting their Last Will and Testament, Trust Deeds, and can offer legal advice on estate management and planning. We are abreast of the most recent Laws governing testamentary succession being equipped to assist clients in applying to the St. Christopher and Nevis High Court for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration to administer the deceases Estate within the Federation. As it relates to wealth management, we guide clients through the various asset protection options available to them as we help tailor products to suit their needs likewise explore various investment options available in the Federation.
